Touted as a “community leader” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal for her arts advocacy work, Alexandria has changed lives through programs she has instated. She also lends her expertise to other arts organizations as a consultant and board member. She currently is an executive board member of the Las Vegas Music Teacher’s Association and Notes with a Purpose.
Notes with a Purpose
Alexandria founded Notes with a Purpose in June of 2016, an award-winning music foundation based in Las Vegas. In the span of 6 years, Notes with a Purpose served over 12,500 children and 4,000 adults with high-quality arts programs throughout 56 elementary schools and 8 community partnerships.
University Engagement
Alexandria inspires the next generation of college students in universities across the country with presentations ranging in a multitude of topics relating to arts entrepreneurship to artistic programming.
Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Piano Institute
Alexandria curated an annual three-day program of workshops, presentations, and performances (“How to Ace Life With Your Music Skills”) for the 80+ piano majors at the Grammy award-winning arts magnet high school. Students reported a 2.5-point average increase (on a 5-point scale) in confidence and self-esteem in their music-making and presentation skills.
Carnegie Hall Teaching Artist
From 2012-2014, Alexandria performed over 60 outreach performances at schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and jails. She also co-led a piano class in Brooklyn for 4th and 5th graders.
