Throughout the past decade, I cultivated a studio of passionate and dedicated students in New York. My teaching style allows each student - whether at the age of 3 or 83 - to feel comfortable exploring their musicianship while ascertaining the details of technical work in lessons.
Since my departure from New York, I have not accepted any students; however, I will be holding summer workshops throughout July and August 2018. Workshops are intended for students looking to tighten and polish their playing, no matter their level. I believe in supporting the journey of the music student and sending them back to their regular, private teachers freshened up (and the trust will be in the form of a non-compete and non-solicitation agreement).
Believe me, I'm going to be asking a lot from the students in the workshop. Their brain might turn into mush by the end, but I'll comfort them with free snacks and refreshments. They'll walk away a better musician.
General studio/repertoire workshop (1-2 hours)
This studio class allows performance opportunity + detailed feedback on your piece(s). These workshops are jam-packed with information. Auditors/observers may be considered.
Technique workshop (1 hour)
In this intensive technique class, you will get to see me unveil the secrets to playing scales, arpeggios, octaves, and other tricky passages (including pedal work) with efficiency and ease.
Style workshop (1 hour)
How often does a student differentiate between playing the styles of Bach versus Mozart versus Chopin versus Prokofiev?? Style class provides historical context, technique, and studio class concepts to give life to the way these composers' works should best be performed.
**Special: Beethoven Sonata Workshop will be offered!**
This is also available for NON-PIANISTS(!)
In a duo piece, do you think you're all set to go, except when you try to put together your parts together? Learn how to perform like a masterful musician when performing with a pianist or another instrumentalist by taking this class.
